Guitar Phone Mount - Headstock Clip for Filming & Tuning

Filming your own playing is harder than it should be. A tripod across the room gives you a wide shot where nobody can see your hands. Propping a phone on the sofa gives you a shot of the ceiling about thirty seconds in.

This clamps to your guitar. A spring clip grips the headstock, a ball joint lets you aim, and a spring-loaded cradle holds the phone - so the camera moves with the instrument and stays pointed exactly where you set it.

Fit and handling

The jaws are rubber padded and grip a standard acoustic or electric headstock. It also clamps to a mic stand, a desk edge, a shelf or a music stand, so it is not only a guitar accessory. The cradle fits most phones with or without a slim case.

One honest note on balance: a phone clipped to the headstock adds weight at the far end of the neck. On a light guitar on a stand, that can make it want to tip - keep a hand on it, or use a stand with a neck cradle.

Common questions

Will it mark my guitar?
The jaws are padded and it is designed not to. On a vintage or delicate nitro finish, put a thin cloth between the clamp and the wood - that is good practice with any clamp.

Does it fit a phone in a case?
Most slim cases, yes. Very thick or rugged cases may need to come off.

Can I use it on anything else?
Yes - mic stands, desk edges, shelves, bed frames, music stands. Anything the jaws can close on.
